Lots to
report on the school and home front but I will focus my message today on one of
the nicest parts of Adelaide, the beach.
I have been
busy at school yesterday and today (it feels like I have been there a week). Flinders University is up on a hill. As I wandered around getting my student card,
bus tickets etc. I could see the vast, blue, sparkling ocean on the horizon and
sensed it calling my name.
I felt like
I could reach out and touch it. So touch
it we did.
I came home
and we packed up and headed to a place called Glenelg. With the palm trees and Art Deco buildings it
reminds me of California but... the water is much warmer. The warmest I have
ever felt the ocean. We saw people
swimming, surfing, fishing and practicing rescues from kayaks.
We returned again this evening to celebrate
Keith’s 49th birthday, eating seafood at a restaurant overlooking the ocean.
